Timing Belts & Water Pumps at AAA Air Conditioning & Radiators, an independently owned shop at 18400 NW 2nd Ave in Miami Gardens, open since 1992. Updated .
We're experts in timing belt and water pump replacement on all makes and models. Don't wait until your timing belt breaks or wears out. Replacing the belt and water pump on schedule helps you avoid unnecessary breakdowns. Many vehicles call for it around every 60,000 miles; check your owner's manual or give us a call.
Why replace the water pump with the timing belt?
On many engines the timing belt drives the water pump, and both sit behind the same covers. Most of the cost is the labor to reach them, so replacing the pump at the same time saves you from paying for that labor twice.
What happens if a timing belt breaks?
The engine stops immediately. On an interference engine, the pistons can hit open valves and cause major engine damage. That's why sticking to the replacement interval matters.
Does my car have a timing belt or a timing chain?
Many newer engines use a timing chain designed to last much longer. Your owner's manual will tell you, or call us with the year, make and model.
Signs of a failing water pump
Coolant leaking from the front of the engine, a whining or grinding noise, and overheating are the usual signs.

Timing belt and water pump questions
How often should a timing belt be replaced?
Check your owner's manual. Intervals commonly fall between 60,000 and 100,000 miles, and some manufacturers also set a time limit in years.
Can I replace just the timing belt?
You can, but on engines where the belt drives the water pump we recommend doing both, since the labor overlaps almost completely.
What is an interference engine?
An engine where the valves and pistons use the same space at different times. If the timing belt breaks, they can collide and damage the engine.
