Suspension & Steering at AAA Air Conditioning & Radiators, an independently owned shop at 18400 NW 2nd Ave in Miami Gardens, open since 1992. Updated .
We use current equipment to replace shocks and struts on any vehicle, and we replace inner and outer tie rods, pitman arms, control arms, ball joints and bushings. Don't wait until your car sounds like an old clunker. Have the suspension checked periodically.
How do I know my shocks or struts are worn?
Bouncing after bumps, nose-diving under braking, leaning in turns and fluid on the shock body are the usual signs. Worn struts also cause uneven tire wear.
What's that clunk over bumps?
Clunks usually come from worn ball joints, sway bar links, control arm bushings or strut mounts. Play in the steering wheel, or a car that wanders, points to tie rod ends or other steering parts. These are safety parts, so don't put them off.
Do I need an alignment after suspension work?
Replacing tie rods, control arms or struts usually changes the alignment, so an alignment afterward is normally recommended to protect your tires.

Suspension and steering questions
How long do shocks and struts last?
Many last 50,000 to 100,000 miles depending on roads and load. Have them inspected if you notice bouncing or uneven tire wear.
Should struts be replaced in pairs?
Yes. Replacing both struts on the same axle keeps the handling balanced.
Is it safe to drive with a bad ball joint?
No. A ball joint that fails completely can let the wheel separate from the suspension. Have clunks or looseness checked promptly.
